x Hélène, wife of painter Mario Comensoli (1922-1993), established before her death in 1994 a testamentary foundation in accordance with the wishes of her husband. The Foundation was set up for the purpose of conserving the body of work and promoting public esteem of the painter and draftsman.

The Foundation, widely recognized in Cantons Zurich and Tecino as a non-profit organization, has completed an inventory of the estate. In addition, it publishes catalogues, finances exhibits, runs its own gallery, and is planning an index of Comensoli's life works.
